Bear Lake Bible Camp Statement re. Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I regret to inform you that on the recommendation of the board, Bear Lake Bible Camp has cancelled all camp programs for the 2020 season due to the restrictions and regulations required by Alberta Health Services in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was made with the health and safety of everyone in mind, including, campers, parents/guardians, our missionaries, and the other visitors to our facility. We are deeply saddened by this and will miss all of the kids and the fun of running camps. We will be working diligently to provide an exceptional experience for all of our campers and guests in 2021.

Bear Lake Bible Camp has committed to continue employing Jayden (our Assistant Director) and me (Danny) through this economic and health crisis. This summer, Jayden and I will take the opportunity to get lots of projects done in the facilities and on the property. When you visit in 2021, things will be looking fresh!

To those of you who have already registered your child for camp and paid for the camp fees, a full refund will be issued to you. Please be patient as it could take a week or two to get the refunds processed.

A large portion of Bear Lake Bible Camp’s income, 40 percent, comes from camp fees and rental groups. The unfortunate reality is that most, if not all, of that income, will be lost this year. Please consider donating to the ongoing needs of the camp. If you would like to donate your child’s registration fee to the camp, please email

Donations can be made online at:

Donations can be mailed to us at:  Box 390, Sexsmith AB, T0H 3C0.

As well, please stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for information regarding online resources that Bear Lake Bible Camp and One Hope Canada will be offering this summer.
